Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist - PRN to obtain specimens for diagnostic testing and transfusions. This role serves patients from newborn to geriatric and emphasizes safety and PHI protection.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a current BLS/CPR card. Preferred candidates have 1 year of related experience and a Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP). We offer paid time off, tuition reimbursement, a 401k match, and comprehensive health

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Properly dispose of used sharps and other bio-hazardous waste.
• Collect, process, and deliver specimens to appropriate section of the Laboratory for testing.
• Maintain phlebotomy trays and outpatient draw station (restocking supplies, cleanliness, etc.).
• Function performed affect the population ages newborn through geriatric.
• Abide by HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, staff and clinicians.
