Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age-related standards and policies.
• Demonstrates patient communication and safety to reduce errors.
• Receives and reviews orders; enters accurate lab test orders per policy.
• Communicates test results and supports post-collection patient care.
• Prepares and handles specimens, labels, centrifuges, and transports as required.
• Maintains equipment, documents QC/QA records, and reports maintenance needs.
• Adheres to biosafety, waste procedures, and keeps the work area safe.
