Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age-related standards and department policies.
• Demonstrates patient communication models (AIDET) to optimize patient safety and care.
• Receives and reviews physician orders; enters accurate orders for lab tests per policy.
• Maintains proper specimen processing, labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and transport packaging.
