Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards and in accordance with department policies.
• Demonstrates patient communication and safety practices to minimize errors and ensure patient comfort.
• Receives and reviews physician orders; enters accurate lab tests in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintains proper specimen labeling, processing, and documentation to ensure specimen integrity.
• Uses EMR and other systems to manage orders, results, and specimen tracking.
