Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Valdosta, GA. This role performs blood collections, processes specimens and ensures accurate data entry while delivering excellent patient service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a phlebotomy certification or training. The position involves travel to additional sites and a schedule that spans weekdays with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
