Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Waco, TX. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary blood collections across age groups, collecting samples for various tests, and ensuring accurate data entry and patient service.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, and/or a phlebotomy certification. Flexibility to travel to other sites and strong communication skills are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred (or 1 year+ experience).
• Certification from an accredited agency acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the data system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
