Job summary

Qualifications

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred across neonate to geriatric patients.
• Current BLS certification on hire or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures, heelsticks, and fingersticks for laboratory testing.
• Identify patients and follow specimen collection procedures.
• Enter outpatient orders into Laboratory Information System and handle chain-of-custody specimens as required.
• Assist with receiving specimens and clerical duties as needed.
• Follow lab protocols for specimen acceptance and rejection.
