Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, may hold Phlebotomy certification, and possess at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred.
• 6+ months of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Must pass a color blindness test.
• Flexibility for overtime as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
