Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 2379 23rd Street, Eureka, CA 95501. The role involves blood collection, data entry and exceptional patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm with potential overtime, travel to additional sites, and opportunities for growth within Labcorp's diagnostic network. Requires California Phlebotomy license and HS diploma; prior phlebotomy experience preferred; strong communication skills and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
• 1+ months of experience as a phlebotomist (preferred)
• Current or prior experience with Labcorp (preferred)
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to travel to additional sites as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
