Job summary

MISSOURI HIGHLANDS HEALTH CARE is seeking a Phlebotomist - Non-Exempt to join our laboratory team. You will perform blood draws and related specimen handling, greet patients, and ensure accurate data entry for billing and records.

Responsibilities include following opening/closing procedures, verifying insurance information when applicable, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while delivering professional customer service in a busy office environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• BLS certified and able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Follows opening and closing procedures per office guidelines.
• Performs blood draws and specimen handling as needed.
• Greets patients and provides instructions as required.
• Verifies and enters patient information for billing and records.
• Obtains insurance information when necessary and may verify with providers.
• Code and process lab charges accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Perform other duties as required.
