Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Maywood, NJ. The role involves drawing blood, collecting specimens, data entry, and providing excellent patient service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Typical schedule includes a multi-day shift pattern with holidays and potential travel to other sites. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 1 year of phlebotomy experience, with certification preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
