Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Phlebotomist I for the Joliet, IL location. This full-time role involves phlebotomy, specimen processing, and ensuring accurate labeling while providing courteous care to patients in a collaborative laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• National Phlebotomy Certification or qualified to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferred.
• Prior phlebotomy experience or equivalent combination of graduation from a certified phlebotomy school with work experience preferred.
• Moderate knowledge of medical terminology; excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on adult and pediatric patients by venipuncture or finger stick using aseptic protocols.
• Monitor phone and voice mail messages as necessary.
• Monitor collection supply inventory and order supplies as necessary.
• Receive patients professionally and courteously using AIDET and positive patient experience tools.
• Perform specimen processing including centrifugation, labeling, storage, and transport preparations.
• Maintain a clean patient and working environment.
