Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist at Joliet Treatment Center in Joliet, IL. The role includes drawing blood, checking vital signs and performing finger-stick glucose tests in a correctional healthcare setting.

The incumbent will assist with activities of daily living and work Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A certified phlebotomy program, a high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and preferred corrections/behavioral health experience are required.

Qualifications

• Completed a certified phlebotomy training program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Corrections/behavioral health experience preferred.
• Must be CPR/BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and check vital signs.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-time Phlebotomist to join our team at Joliet Treatment Center located in Joliet, Illinois.

The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood, checking vital signs, finger stick blood sugars, and assisting with the activities of daily living for patients in a correctional healthcare environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Completed a certified phlebotomy training program (required)
• Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
• At least one year of experience working as a phlebotomist preferred
• Experience working in corrections/behavioral health preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
