Responsibilities include patient interaction using the AIDET model, documentation in the information system, and collaboration with physicians, pharmacy, and care staff to ensure timely specimen collection and accurate processing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy student program criteria as applicable.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients using the AIDET model and provides instructions to ensure quality patient experiences.
• Uses hospital systems to obtain information, identify patients, and route specimens.
• Collects specimens safely according to policy and ensures timely lab processing.
• Cleans and stocks phlebotomy work areas and equipment to maintain a safe environment.
• Performs duties across multiple lab sites as needed and participates in ongoing education.
