Job summary

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist in Madison, AL. The role involves blood collection for all ages, specimen processing, and accurate data entry. You will travel to additional sites as needed and provide excellent patient service.

This position requires full vaccination against COVID-19 unless legally exempt or accommodated. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or trained program, with preferred phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Must be able to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties; travel to other sites as needed.
