Job summary

LabCorp in Selma, AL, seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves collecting blood samples, performing capillary draws, and providing exceptional patient service in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include data entry, specimen processing, billing tasks, and potential travel to additional sites. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training are required; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
