Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Vicksburg, MS. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, data entry, and providing exceptional customer service in a patient-facing environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred 2+ years of phlebotomy experience. Travel to additional sites may be required. Vaccination is required where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
