Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Myrtle Beach, SC. The role involves collecting blood samples from patients of all ages, performing specimen processing, data entry, and basic billing duties in a Patient Service Center environment.

You will provide friendly, accurate service, travel to additional sites as needed, and participate in ongoing growth opportunities within Labcorp. Qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy training or certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a phlebotomy training program or 6 months' experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned
