Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in the Myrtle Beach area, with locations in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, SC. This position offers variable shift coverage across two client offices and requires phlebotomy proficiency and strong patient service skills.

The role focuses on blood collections, specimen handling, data entry, and patient interaction in a collaborative healthcare environment. Training and compliance with standard safety practices are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months+ experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
