Job summary

LabCorp seeks a phlebotomist to join our team in Florence AL. Schedule is Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:00pm with a rotating Saturday. The role includes blood collections, specimen processing, data entry and billing support, with travel to additional sites as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a phlebotomy certification or training; 3 months+ experience is acceptable. Excellent customer service and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
