Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Longmeadow MA. The role involves collecting blood samples from patients, performing venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, and handling related clerical tasks in a patient-friendly environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and phlebotomy certification or training. Experience with LabCorp systems is preferred. Work schedule includes Saturday hours, with additional travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification or training.
• Preferred qualifications include LabCorp experience and 6+ months as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
