Job summary

Labcorp in Jackson, MS is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and providing courteous service in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with potential travel to additional sites. Applicants must have a HS diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification or training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or phlebotomy certification/training; 3+ months phlebotomy experience acceptable.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is acceptable in lieu of work experience.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately into the system and ensure proper specimen labeling.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
