UNC Health is seeking a phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy procedures and patient point-of-care testing to support clinical activities. The role requires ensuring accuracy, addressing equipment or workflow issues, and training staff as needed. Work is onsite with a 40-hour week and an evening schedule.

Qualified applicants typically have one year of phlebotomy experience or have completed a phlebotomy program. No licensure is required for this position.

• None required as long as other position qualifications are met.

Responsabilidades

• Consult with healthcare providers and patients regarding patient care related to phlebotomy.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of work.
• Investigate problems with equipment, results, specimens, or workflow.
• Participate on teams or perform special projects.
• May train new employees or phlebotomy students.
• Review test results for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures, quality control and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor daily operation of the laboratory work area.
