Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen collection with a focus on accuracy, safety, and exceptional patient service. The role requires proper documentation, adherence to quality control policies, and collaboration with nurses and laboratory staff.

Ideal candidates will have High School diploma, basic biology/chemistry knowledge, and ASCP/NHA certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude in the workplace.
• High school education or equivalent; college biology/chemistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent customer service.
• Assists in training of new employees.
• Collects all specimens by venipuncture and skin puncture.
• Transports specimens promptly to ensure turnaround time.
• Maintains proper communication with physicians and staff.
