Job summary

Labcorp in Dallas, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our medical clinic team. You will collect blood samples by venipuncture or capillary methods for patients of all ages and prepare specimens for testing.

The role requires accurate data entry, clerical duties as needed, and delivering excellent customer service to patients. A phlebotomy certification or accredited training is preferred or required in lieu of work experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Current or prior Labcorp experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training may come from an accredited agency.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
