Job summary

Labcorp in Orlando, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide exceptional patient service, perform blood collections, and help ensure accurate specimen handling. The role is based in a Patient Service Center with a schedule of Monday–Saturday, AS NEEDED, up to 19 hours per week.

You will collect specimens for various tests, enter data precisely, handle billing when required, and travel to additional sites as needed while maintaining logs and delivering superior customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training required from an accredited agency.
• Ability to pass color-blindness test and flexible to overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other duties as assigned
