Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. Work schedule is Mon, Tue, Thu 8:00am–5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch.

You will perform blood collections, collect various specimens, enter data, and handle billing tasks while maintaining logs and delivering excellent patient service. Responsibilities include processing specimens, traveling to additional sites, and working in either a Patient Service Center or Client office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
