Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Dunbar, WV, delivering high-quality specimen collection, data entry and patient service. You will work across sites as needed, maintaining accurate patient records and supporting billing processes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, and strong communication and customer service skills. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
