Overview

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. The Phlebotomist position is located at Tapestry 360 Turning Point: 8320 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077. Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 12:00pm.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or three months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year or more of phlebotomy experience.
Additional Job Standards
  • Phlebotomy certification or training program from an accredited agency.
  • One year or more pediatric experience.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
Pay Range

$17.50 – $24.50 per hour. Pay is based on skills, experience, and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary employees, are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule are eligible for all benefits listed above except PTO or FTO.
