Job summary

Labcorp in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our team at 1821 Wilshire Boulevard Suite 210. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 am – 1:30 pm, with rotating Saturdays.

You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and provide excellent patient service in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role requires a California Phlebotomy License (CPT) or a filed license, high school diploma or GED, and prior phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).
• 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist.
• Current or prior experience at LabCorp.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
