Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Phlebotomy Float to join our Santa Monica team. The role supports blood collection and specimen processing across sites in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Playa Vista, Culver City, Westwood, and Century City. Expect variable hours Monday–Friday with some Saturdays.

Minimum qualifications include a California CPT license or accredited training and a high school diploma or GED. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred; Labcorp offers incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Strong customer service and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Float to join our team in 1304 15th Street Suite 103 Santa Monica, CA 90405 covering areas around Santa Monica, Beverly hills, Playa Vista, Culver City, Westwood and Century City. Work Schedule: Able to cover hours that vary Monday - Friday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed, including some Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
• Current or Prior experience at LabCorp.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Pay Range: $21.00-$33.00 Float Incentive: Additional $1.50/hr. plus mileage reimbursement All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
