Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from patients of various ages.
• Ensures specimens are labeled and suitable for testing; resolves specimen problems.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines according to policies.
• Assists with phone calls, inventory, and billing support.
• Processes specimens for testing and manages transport and data entry.
