Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time per diem phlebotomist to collect and process patient specimens at Burlington Hospital. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen labeling, and providing friendly frontline service to patients and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma and formal phlebotomy training; ASCP/NHA/AMT certifications are preferred. Competitive hourly pay of $25 with a comprehensive benefits package for eligible colleagues.

Job Summary:

Adhere to correct policy and procedures in carrying out routine tasks. Collects and processes patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols. Perform laboratory tests including pre‑and post‑analytic phases. Prepare samples/specimens for producing accurate and reliable results by following collection procedure.

Provides outstanding customer service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Experience:

Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work. Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred. Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Training / Certification / Licensure:

Formal phlebotomy training required. ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.

Hourly Rate: $25.00
