Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Wantagh, NY. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections for diverse patient groups, with focus on accurate data entry and courteous patient service.

Hours include Monday–Friday mornings (7:00am–11:00am) with rotating Saturdays. The position offers benefits and potential incentive opportunities, and may involve travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
