Job summary

Medicus Spine & Joint in Pensacola, FL is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to support our clinical team by performing venipunctures, assisting with patient care, and keeping procedures running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and ideally a CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification, with at least 1 year of phlebotomy or medical assisting experience, plus strong EMR, communication, and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Requires CPT certification.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy and/or medical assisting experience.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collect lab specimens following proper protocols.
• Assist with patient intake, including vitals, medical history, and documentation.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Ensure proper handling and transport of laboratory specimens.
• Provide excellent patient service and ensure a comfortable experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
