Job summary

Medicus Spine & Joint in Greenville, SC is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This role performs venipunctures, assists with patient care, and helps ensure smooth clinical operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has CPT certification (or equivalent), CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred, at least 1 year in phlebotomy or medical assisting, and strong EMR skills.

Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification is required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and/or medical assisting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collect lab specimens following proper protocols.
• Assist with patient intake, including vitals, medical history, and documentation.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Ensure proper handling and transport of laboratory specimens.
• Provide excellent patient service and ensure a comfortable experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
