Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives specimens from couriers and checks manifests.
• Logs and assigns accession numbers to specimens and requisitions.
• Sorts and triages requisitions and specimens to the correct workstation.
• Answers telephones and communicates pertinent information; sends specimens via pneumatic tube or dumbwaiter.
• Processes specimens including centrifugation, pour-off, aliquoting and labeling.
• Registers outreach specimens received from clients.
