Job summary

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates accuracy in specimen collection and handling according to orders and SOPs.
• Maintains patient safety and proper patient identification.
• Labels specimens correctly and ensures proper containers and volumes.
• Adheres to quality control and QA/QI guidelines and documents activities.
• Communicates with providers, nurses, and staff to meet patient needs.
• May travel to off-site locations to collect specimens and transport them to the lab.
