The role includes patient instruction, accurate identification, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with care teams; requires high school diploma and 1 year phlebotomy or specimen processing experience, plus on-hire phlebotomy certifications.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• 1 year direct patient care with phlebotomy or specimen processing experience.
• Phlebotomy certifications must be obtained upon hire from a recognized organization.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates accuracy in specimen collection, processing and handling per orders and SOPs.
• Maintains safe environment and proper patient identification and labeling.
• Collaborates with providers and care teams to support patient needs.
• Ensures QA/QI compliance and participates in quality control activities.
• Assists in training staff and students as needed.
