Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist/Lab Support Specialist for the Day shift at North Fulton Hospital.

The role supports multiple laboratory service areas, performs blood collection, specimen processing, and LIS/HIS data entry while ensuring patient safety and quality care. Under supervision of the Laboratory Manager, you will handle specimen logistics, maintain equipment, and provide excellent customer service to patients and care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification required by hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in outpatient or hospital lab environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy including venipuncture and capillary collection.
• Handle specimen receipt, processing and transport to reference labs.
• Enter data into LIS/HIS; troubleshoot system issues as needed.
• Provide courteous, patient-focused customer service to patients and providers.
