Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a phlebotomy technician to join the laboratory team on the day shift at our Georgia facilities. You will perform HIS/LIS data entry, specimen processing, phlebotomy, and pre-analytical tasks, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for transport, conducting QA checks, and providing excellent customer service to patients and providers. Strong data entry and multi-tasking skills required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing preferred.
• BLS certification required; phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy in accordance with hospital guidelines and collect quality samples.
• Enter and process orders and specimen information in LIS/HIS systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and care providers; maintain patient privacy.
