Liberty Hospital is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist for a full-time day shift (M-F, 5am–1:30pm) to join our clinical laboratory team. The role involves performing venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring accuracy of orders in HIS/LIS systems.

Strong patient communication and adherence to safety standards are essential. The ideal candidate will have a High School graduate credential and either completion of a phlebotomy program or relevant hands-on experience.

Qualifikationen

• High School Graduate is required.
• Less than 1 year 6 months in internal phlebotomy training OR 1+ years experience in specimen collection and processing OR completion of an external phlebotomy program.

Aufgaben

• Performs blood draws by venipuncture according to standard protocol and ensures patient safety.
• Adheres to labeling, transport, and specimen handling requirements.
• Interprets orders from providers and ensures correct tube types for tests.
• Provides patient and caregiver instructions for specimen collection as needed.
• Maintains proper LIS/HIS data entry and specimen processing workflows.
• Mentions and adheres to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Mentors staff and students when applicable and supports blood draw operations at multiple locations.
