Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio seeks a direct-hire Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for the 1 PM–9:30 PM second shift. The role includes collecting blood specimens, preparing requisitions, and coordinating with the laboratory information system to ensure accurate test processing.

Weekend and holiday rotation may be required. Requires formal phlebotomy training with certification and the ability to respond to emergencies after hours.

Qualifications

• Formal phlebotomy training with certification.
• Ability to respond to emergencies during off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Collect venous and capillary blood specimens and nasal swabs.
• Interact with patients across age groups and perform standard collection procedures.
• Communicate with reference laboratory as needed.
• Maintain supplies for specimen collection and processing.
• Keep phlebotomy areas clean and organized and manage equipment.
• Rotate weekend shifts and cover shifts as required.
