Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join our Athens Regional Laboratory team. You will perform venipunctures, process samples, and support clinical staff to ensure accurate patient testing.

This role offers exposure to a busy medical environment and opportunities for professional growth. No prior experience is required beyond a HS diploma; CPT phlebotomy certification is preferred, and EKG experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards as applicable.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
