Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our clinical laboratory team. You will perform specimen collection, processing, and basic tests in a regulated environment, supporting patient care and accurate results.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
