Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and lab specimen collections per age-related standards and department procedures.
• Demonstrates AIDET model and ensures patient safety.
• Receives and reviews physician orders; enters orders for lab tests in accordance with policies.
• Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care and communication.
• Processes specimens with labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and packaging for transport.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to safety and biohazard procedures.
