Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist for the S Broom Street site in Wilmington, DE. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.

You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, enter patient data, and provide excellent patient service while maintaining logs.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or accredited training; 3 months’ experience is preferred. Travel to additional sites may be required.

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient data accurately and promptly.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Complete administrative and clerical duties as required.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program.
  • 3 months or more of experience as a phlebotomist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
Additional Job Standards
  • Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
