Job description

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions and is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Dupont Blvd in Georgetown, DE.

Work Schedule: Monday & Friday 6:00am – 12:00pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 8:00am – 12:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am – 2:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Enter patient information accurately and promptly into the data system.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
  • Work at a Patient Service Center or client office as required.
  • Be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which may provide a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
  • Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
Additional Job Standards
  • Certification or training must come from an accredited agency.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
