Title: Phlebotomist III - Floater

Shift: The hours for the float role are from 6am-6pm, Monday to Friday, depending on business needs. 40 hours/week.
Description:
- The Patient Services Representative III Floater (PSR III) represents the face of our company to patients, assisting with health routines and health decisions.
- The PSR III draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
- The PSR III has direct patient contact, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood safely and accurately.
- The PSR III demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
- Assignments may include working in a doctor's office, patient service center, or as dictated by business needs.
- Under supervision, performs daily activities accurately and timely, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, verifying patient information and labels.
- Maintains records and documentation as required.
- Promotes organizational commitment and a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to all policies, procedures, dress code, and safety guidelines.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred; keyboard/data entry experience is a plus.
