Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Baltimore, MD, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and rotational weekends. The role handles specimen collection, processing, and data entry, with opportunities for annual performance bonuses.

Qualified candidates have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, relevant education, and are able to navigate lab systems. A valid driver’s license and transportation are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Prepare and transport specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
